Learn about our mission, beliefs, and leadership
Calvary Community Church is committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ through biblical teaching and preaching.
We believe in faith alone in Christ alone for salvation, and we stand firmly on the truth of eternal security for all who believe.
Our focus is on providing sound biblical teaching that equips believers to live godly lives and share the good news with others.
To be a beacon of truth in the Tampa Bay community, reaching people with the life-changing message of the Gospel.
We envision a church where believers are grounded in Scripture, growing in their faith, and actively sharing Christ with those around them.
Through biblical teaching, discipleship, and outreach ministries, we seek to make an eternal impact in our community and beyond.

What we believe and teach from God's Word
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the verbally inspired Word of God, without error in the original writings, and the final authority for faith and life. We use and teach from the King James Version as our primary English translation.
(2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:89, 105)
We believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14)
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man without ceasing to be God, having been conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful men.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead.
(John 1:1, 14; Philippians 2:5-8; 1 Peter 2:24; Romans 4:25)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, equal with God the Father and God the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He indwells, baptizes, seals, and fills all believers at the moment of salvation.
(John 16:8-11; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 1:13-14, 5:18)
We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God. Salvation is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but solely by grace through faith.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; Titus 3:5; Romans 3:24)
We believe that all the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever.
We believe that it is the privilege of believers to rejoice in the assurance of their salvation through the testimony of God's Word, which clearly teaches that believers are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption.
(John 10:28-29; Romans 8:38-39; Ephesians 4:30; 1 Peter 1:5)
We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, composed of all born-again believers in this present age. The local church is a congregation of baptized believers associated by covenant in the faith and fellowship of the Gospel, observing the ordinances of Christ, governed by His laws, and exercising the gifts, rights, and privileges invested in them by His Word.
(Ephesians 1:22-23; Acts 2:41-42; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14)
We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of his fellow man; that his conduct should be blameless before the world; that he should be a faithful steward of his possessions; and that he should seek to realize for himself and others the full stature of maturity in Christ.
(1 Corinthians 10:31; Romans 12:1-2; Colossians 3:1-17)
We believe in the personal, visible, and imminent return of the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe in the blessed hope of the Rapture of the Church prior to the Tribulation. We believe in the literal, physical return of Christ to establish His millennial kingdom on earth.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:1-6)
We believe that Satan is a created being, a fallen angel, and the author of sin and the cause of the fall of man. He is the open and declared enemy of God and man, and will be eternally punished in the Lake of Fire.
(Isaiah 14:12-17; Ezekiel 28:11-19; Revelation 20:10)
We believe that God gives spiritual gifts to all believers for the purpose of edifying the Body of Christ. We believe that the miraculous sign gifts of the Apostolic Age (such as speaking in tongues, healing, and miracles) were temporary and ceased with the completion of the New Testament canon.
(1 Corinthians 12-14; Ephesians 4:11-16; 1 Corinthians 13:8-10)
We believe in the bodily resurrection of all men, the saved to eternal life and the unsaved to judgment and everlasting punishment. We believe that the souls of the redeemed are, at death, absent from the body and present with the Lord, where in conscious bliss they await the resurrection of their glorified bodies.
(John 5:28-29; 2 Corinthians 5:8; Philippians 3:20-21; Revelation 20:11-15)
We believe that all believers should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord. We believe that separation from all religious apostasy and worldly and sinful practices is commanded of us by God.
(Romans 12:1-2; 2 Corinthians 6:14-7:1; 1 John 2:15-17)
