45-Foot Bouldering
Towering, colorfully set walls with grades from your first V0 to problems that'll humble the strong. Fresh sets drop every month.
Providence, Rhode Island
A climbing gym and coffee bar for people who pull hard and stay kind.
No contracts · Beginner-friendly · Real coffee
We built the gym we always wanted — 45-foot walls and a top-rope cave for the send, an espresso bar for the hang, and a crew that cheers just as loud for your first V0 as your first V6.
Our story
Too many gyms make you feel like you need to already be strong to belong. We started Ember & Iron for the opposite reason — for the person standing at the door wondering if they're "climber enough" to walk in. You are.
Our floor is a real gym: 45-foot bouldering walls, a top-rope cave, and a training room stacked with hangboards and campus rungs. But it's wrapped around an espresso bar pulling single-origin pour-overs, with pastries from a baker down the street. Come to send, come to sit — most people end up doing both.
Memberships are month-to-month with zero contracts, and if you join early, your founding-member rate stays locked in for as long as you stay.

The crew talks
"I put off trying climbing for years because I assumed I'd be judged. My first Saturday here, three strangers were cheering me up a V0. I signed up before I left."
"The training room is legit and the sets actually challenge me — but what sold me is that I can project hard problems and still get a real pour-over five feet away."
"My daughter counts down the days to Youth Club. The coaches make it about confidence, not just grades. She walks in shy and leaves buzzing every single week."
"Month-to-month, no contract, and a rate that won't creep up on me — that's rare. The monthly comps are the friendliest competitive thing I've ever done in Providence."
